Front-End Developer Internship

We are looking for a talented intern who wants to join our start-up journey for 4-6 months in Amsterdam.

As our new super-powered front-end intern in Amsterdam for Coding the Curbs, you will be at the forefront of urban transformation and digitization. Your primary responsibility will be the front-end development of our application and dashboard, ensuring a seamless and intuitive user experience. You will an cruciaal part of our core team of six dedicated professionals, contributing to innovative projects that span across (inter)national cities.

We are a start-up in curbside management, Started in 2020 as a spin-out from Elemental Strategy and The Future Mobility Network, working on changing the way that city space is organized and used. 

​

Our dream is to create a more liveable and safe city with technology that allows users to book and use the public space. For example: logistics use our platform to book a timeslot to deliver goods in an efficient way. We’re like Airbnb for (un)loading bays. And we are looking for people that would like to help us make this dream possible. 

​

The timing is just right. Because we are developing our technology, rolling out our solution (Smart Zones) and building a team with ambitious innovators in the upcoming years.  As our intern, you will have significant responsibility and the opportunity to contribute to ambitious product development.

What your work is about …

As a  intern you will work on a wide variety of tasks. Your main task during the week will be to support our team in the amazing projects we’re running with our partner cities. This can be at the first ideations and conversations, to location scouting and benchmarking, until implementation and operation of our Smart Zones. 

 

During your internship you will collaborate closely with our stakeholders: city officials, local citizens, businesses, truck drivers and suppliers. Together with our team you will take care of preparing workshops, meetings and events.

 

Besides the project work, we also expect you to join in the other activities that are related to our hardware and software, communication around our projects or (business) innovation. For example: ideation around new features of our platform together with our developing team. Or preparing and executing a demonstration at our test site in Rotterdam. It will be a real start-up experience: working on diverse and challenging tasks!

We are looking for ...

  • A one-of-a-kind person fluent in Dutch and English

  • Student at an academic (WO) or higher education programme (HBO)

  • An analytical thinker combined with an entrepreneurial mindset

  • Curious and independent mentality, confident to pick up a wide variety of tasks

  • Great communication and social skills for supporting workshops and co-creation sessions

  • Someone who enjoys working with innovation and is curious to dive into technology

  • Affinity with Smart Cities, Mobility and/or Logistics
